Doing a little bit of research it looks like the on-screen keyboard not appearing when you tap on textfields is known to not work with wayland+Electron/Chromium: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1426352/how-to-get-on-screen-keyboard-osk-to-work-like-a-mobile-device |

I also checked on the KDE neon 6.3 distribution in the wayland environment with the "maliit" on-screen keyboard, the same problem. In some dialog boxes it just doesn't pop up and you can't activate some elements by pressing, although everything works on the physical keyboard and mouse. It seems that somewhere in the KDE interface there is an error executing the code for working with my touchscreen, which makes the system think that I don't have it on certain input windows. |

Issue: FreeTube for Linux Does Not Support On-Screen Keyboard Input
Description:
FreeTube is an open-source YouTube client for Linux, Windows, and macOS, designed to enhance privacy by preventing Google tracking and offering ad-free video playback. However, it currently lacks support for input from on-screen keyboards, which can be a limitation for users relying on virtual input methods.
Or am I doing something wrong?
