A quick check for nil value before passing to ipairs. Not familiar with this code base and this behavior so there might be a large oversight by addressing it this way.

Thanks for the PR, sorry about that!
I would definitely expect another event to fill the cache before the cursor move event gets sent off, but I guess that depends on how you interact with the buffer.
