Describe the request

Please remove / cancel the board selector in the IDE main window.
There is no point of having a menu item to make board / port selection, plus all options required in the main menu bar, while having a half baked selector in the IDE window.

Every time I select a board in either the drop-down or the menu, the settings do not carry over, e.g refresh is not reliable.

More often than not, the entire settings in the menu are grey-out. Only repeat clicking in the window, re-opening the menu activates previously inaccessible menu settings.

Having redundant board / port selectors just increases errors and confusion.

Describe the current behavior

You select a board in drop down menu / port selector, press safe. Yet the entry in the main menu does not change and vice versa. Still one has to use the main menu for all other finer grained options anyway.
