I'd like to use the sha checksum for installation via tools like ansible and to ensure the file downloaded correctly - although I understand that this is not strictly necessary.
In stable-linux.yml only the AppImage checksum is listed. I would need it for the .zip file.
This is also true for windows versions (only .exe listed but not .msi or .zip) in stable.yml.
On the other hand all four mac os versions are listed under files in stable-mac.yml
This request is somewhat related to #2173 - but that person asked for checksums in general, which did/do exist (now?) - just not for every file.
If the other checksums already exist, please point out where I can find them.
Describe the current behavior
Go to releases
Find new version
Download zip file for linux
Download latest-linux.yml
See only "arduino-ide_2.x.x_Linux_64bit.AppImage" listed under files
Go on without verifying the downloaded file : (
Arduino IDE version
Probably since 2.04 - known with 2.2.1, 2.3.2 and 2.3.4
Operating system
Linux
Operating system version
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Additional context
I did not verify with nightly build - as I do not know how I can access the stable-... .yml files for it.
