The readme contains recommendations for how to install on Fedora. What is the recommended way to install on other systems, for example Debian / Ubuntu?

(after a bit of looking around, I installed with snap in classic mode; if this is the "official / recommended" way, that would be great to add to the readme :) . Trying to npm install on my LTS Ubuntu 22.04 resulted in some installation errors due to version conflicts if I understand correctly)
