• Rust bindings
  • Rust <-> WASM <-> JS bindings
• Python bindings
• Low-latency audio (maybe with Portaudio or maybe SDL3 audio will be better)

The actual language bindings and audio sources wouldn't be part of the core visualizer, but will definitely be important parts of the surrounding ecosystem and need to be implemented in parallel to make the project see more widespread adoption!

I also think Vulkan is the only way forward, but if we'd only support this API, we'll lose possible browser integrations, as there's currently no way of using Vulkan inside a browser. WebGPU is quite similar to Vulkan ( it's actually using it as the backend on most platforms), but still a working draft and not widely available. At the time the new visualizer will be implemented, this may have changed though.
