minimally update tutorials so that they work on 0.3

I'm going to update the ipython notebook tutorials so that they will still work in 0.3. This will mostly involve eliminating the location objects in the tutorials. I won't document any of the new 0.3 features in the tutorials, since that's part of the scope of other issues.
