So in my nuxt app i installed tailwind with nuxt module but when i try to create a config file for tailwind as shown in the docs i get error

tailwind is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

but for other application this command works completly fine why is that

What command are you running? As per step 2 of the Nuxt integration guide, check you are running:

npx tailwindcss init

I assume that you use tailwind v4, so it won't create config file with init command.

Downgrade it to v3 (3.4.0 for example) and try again.

It should work.

Yup, I went with the 3.4 version instead and it worked first try

Tailwind has a newer version - 4 that is. So just follow the installation guide. In this new setup you don't need the config file. It's actually preferable if you're working on a 'new' project. Migration isn't that difficult either.

Or as mentioned earlier a downgrade is also possible, but i'd suggest not doing that.

hi i have same problem i resolve it like this:
on the homepages i use v3.4.17 then fallow this code:
npm install -D tailwindcss@3
npx tailwindcss init
and for postcss config this :
npx tailwindcss init -p
