Reproduction steps

  1. Enable the Shortcuts and MPRIS plugin on archlinux

Expected Behavior

The program should load at relatively the same rate as it does without it. The program should play music at the same rate as without it.

Actual Behavior

The program takes at least twice as long to load. Loading music to play takes a while, and when switching songs, all input within the program seems frozen.

I sat down again to try to figure our the problem again-- I disabled all of my plugins, and started re-enabling them one by one with the mpris plugin enabled.

It seems that the hanging a result of MPRIS with the notifications plugin. It might be due to how the notification is being treated on my system, but I don't know how to diagnose that.
