[Feature Request]: Youtube-like "Save to Playlist" #3072
Comments
I have the same issue. It's pretty annoying to have to wait a couple hours to add the song to a second playlist. |
I can't replicate this. |
The problem is adding a song to two different playlists. That you get the "are you sure" popup is the problem condition. I want to pick another playlist to add this same song to. |
It also allows me to add to a different playlist without saying that it is already in a playlist, which is why I also tested if I can add it to the same playlist |
So why want to remove the 'it is already in the playlist' pop up? i find that useful and if it says that means it is already there so why you want to add it anyways? it would add the song twice . But I find the multiple playlist selection feature useful. |
Preflight Checklist
Problem Description
Right now, managing playlists in YTMusic is somehow worse than YT.

In YT, if you open the "Save to playlist", you get a checklist showing you which playlists a video has been added to, allowing you to save to multiple playlists at once and even remove it from playlists it's already in.
In YTMusic you can only add to a single playlist, then the menu closes. If you try the "Save to Playlist" button again, it says the song is already on the playlist, asking if you wanna add it again, assuming you wanna add it to the same playlist you just did.

Proposed Solution
Some way to bring back the checklist would be nice.

I don't know if it's possible, but it being on YT makes me wonder.
Alternatives Considered
Honestly, someway to avoid the "This track is already in the playlist" when using the "Save to Playlist" button would be enough at this point.
