Preflight Checklist

  • I use the latest version of YouTube Music (Application).
  • I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.

Problem Description

The app icon that this app uses is outdated. The color is too red and should instead be #FF0033. Not only that, but the ratio of the entire icon seems off, which makes it look pretty weird on the taskbar.

Proposed Solution

Make the color of the icon #FF0033, and maybe make the white ring a little thicker, the outer red ring a little thinner, and add transparent padding around the icon so that it doesn't appear too big on the taskbar.

Alternatives Considered

Changing the taskbar icon to the latest official YouTube Music icon myself.

Note

Even the official website is outdated. Scroll down and download the zip file, which appears to be up to date.

Additional Information

I just realized after almost finishing this issue, but did you guys make this icon yourself from scratch?

honestly I couldn't care less about the color, but it would be nice if the white ring had a bit more padding, so it is easier to see

I’m going to take a look at fixing this, please let me know if anyone else is already working on it.
