Seems to work intermittently. At the very bottom of this page shows a recent successful run of protractor.

I tried this solution- downloading https://sites.google.com/a/chromium.org/chromedriver/downloads manualy and copy in ... /node_modules/protractor/selenium/ directory

It worked one time, then failed. Help!

Same problem =/

I've fixed installing Protactor globally:
npm install -g protractor

@vnctaing
Copy link

I created a pyenv-virtualenv set with a 2.7.8 python version and it did the trick. It seems that protractor doesn't work with python 3.x.x.

@heeeee10

Anyone knows how to execute the command line: npm run protractor when I already typed: npm start. Because when I typed npm start, I cannot type any command line anymore in the terminal

Ctrl+C(Mac or PC) to kill any process that's running in your terminal.

I have the same problem. Anyone has a tested solution that works ? Please, solve it.

@davidt22

The solution is here for me: Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.5
#230
Solution fixed running npm update-webdriver for me.
After I still had to remove chromeOnly: true and add directConnect: true in test/protractor-conf.js to succesfully run npm run protractor.

@davidt22

Wow! I've been working on getting the protractor working ALL weekend! That fixed it!

    1. install protractor globally:

npm install -g protractor

    1. Got to the test/protractor-conf.js file, change to:

// chromeOnly: true, directConnect: true,

    1. Do the rest of the steps:

npm run update-webdriver
npm run protractor

This fixed the following error:
[email protected] protractor:protractor test/protractor-conf.js npm ERR! Exit status 1 npm ERR! npm ERR! Failed at the [email protected] protractor script 'protractor test/protractor-conf.js'.

…s for the post-1.5.0 era

This commit and the accompanying updates to the tutorial steps constitute a major re-structuring of
the tutorial app's codebase, aiming at applying established best practices (in terms of file
naming/layout and code organization) and utilizing several new features and enhancements (most
notably components) introduced in recent versions of Angular (especially v1.5).

Apart from the overall changes, two new chapters were introduced: one on components and one on code
organization.

--
In the process several other things were (incidentally) taken care of, including:

* Dependencies were upgraded to latest versions.
* Animations were polished.
* Outdated links were updated.

--
This was inspired by (and loosely based on) angular#289.
Mad props to @teropa for leading the way :)

The old version of the tutorial, that is compatible with Angular version 1.4 or older, has been
saved in the `pre-v1.5.0-snapshot` branch. The `v1.4.x` version of the tutorial should be pointed
to that branch instead of `master`.
