Amazon Q not working in Android Studio Ladybug

Question

I can't seem to open the Amazon Q Chat interface in Android Studio. The plugin is installed but when I click "Open Chat Panel" nothing happens. Is this a bug with the new Android Studio version? The Amazon Q icon is also not on the side panel.

Amazon Q (plugin version 3.45-242) chat panel seems to require JCEF. Changing Boot Runtime for the IDE to java runtime with JCEF works around the issue in Android Studio Ladybug (2024.2.1 Patch 2)
