What steps did you take and what happened:
When creating clusters using clusterclass, there is a chance that public ip names exceed the character limit set by Azure. Although this issue is not specific to cluster class, this is exacerbated by cc since it adds character hashes while generating cluster names as explained here. To work around this, users have to shorten their cluster names which may not be ideal in some cases.
What did you expect to happen:
Try to generate shorter public ip names so that they don't exceed character limit. One suggestion was to use a character hash instead of cluster name.
Anything else you would like to add:
Modifying generated names could become an issue when handling older clusters. So, we'll need to be mindful of that.
