I remember thinking on this when I first coded the library. Unsure if these are meant to appear according to the 1.0 JSONAPI specification. Need to check.

I have the same problem.
I'm programming a project with emberJs which uses jsonapi standard, and it needs the relationships in the included objets to build the relations between models (using Ember Data).
