Make it clear that the convergence repo does not replace
the existing node.js and io.js project repositories.

Provide clear links to the project repositories.

Update links to the http://nodejs.og/foundation page and
moved dev-policy location.

Update the repository README file to accurately reflect
the intent and nature of this repository. The original
io.js README is preserved as iojs_README.md.

This is temporary just while the convergence process
gets underway. Once the repository moves over to
the official organization, this can be reverted back to
an actual project README that accurately reflects the
combined projects.

@nodejs/tsc

the Node.js Foundation.
http://github.com/nodejs/io.js and http://github.com/joyent/node projects under
the Node.js Foundation. This repository does not yet replace either of the
node.js or io.js project repositories.

node.js -> Node.js

lgtm

point of clarification: is it "The Node.js Foundation", "The Node Foundation", "Node.js Foundation", or ...? Has it been formally created yet? Since everyone says "The Node Foundation" could it just be that? Also, if "The" is in the name then you should capitalise T in your updates too.

node.org shows it as "Node.js Foundation" https://nodejs.org/foundation/

Not sure if that is official yet though.

I'm not sure if this is ready, the timeline is certainly outdated.

Also, it's "Node Foundation." I have the delaware filing and it says:

CERTIFICATE OF INCORPORATION OF
NODE FOUNDATION
FIRST - The name of the corporation is Node Foundation (the "Corporation").

Actually, hrm... The corporate filing says Node Foundation the member agreement says "Node.js"

I prefer "Node Foundation" but it sounds like we're using them pretty interchangeably.

We'll need to get an official decision on that.

Being that we're registered as Node Foundation and own the "node.js" trademark we can be whichever we want :)

I've asked for clarification. If we don't have a clear answer by Wednesday
we can discuss on the call.

The word from Mike Dolan is that the official name is, "Node.js Foundation,
Inc."

Can we get this merged and just update the node foundation name later if need be?
