Is it intended that these default mapping warnings appear for the buffers and git_status sources? I haven't edited the default mappings so it seems quite unexpected that these warnings come up.

I'm still getting this kind of errors/warnings in the mentioned sources, I use in my config branch = "v2.x",:

Can you provide your config and confirm you are up to date on v2.x?

Yes I can confirm that I have the latest commits.
My config, is the one provided in the README.md

If you update your config to what is in the README now then it should work without errors.
