Do the methods emit a deprecation warning? While I agree the new syntax looks nice, it is behind a feature gate and there is no rush to move to it.

The old methods have been removed. I was getting compilation errors with a
build of rustc from last night.

That was a bug. It has been fixed (by reverting the relevant change) in rust-lang/rust#17715.

Good. I thought it odd that they broke almost every library I was using
with no notice.

Yeah, that wasn’t intentional. It’s fixed in the build I made a few hours ago, and should be fixed in the next nigthly.

Awesome. I was getting tired of fixing libraries. However I do like the new
syntax
