This change should allow linux and command line users to compile with svl. Not sure how to allow users to choose which linker.

For search-ability purposes:
This change allows the cli compilation to work by default, but it also hides a potential problem from the user -- that is that when using the cli the user will always have to use the SVL bootloader, and they won't get any errors that could indicate to them that (perhaps) additional command line arguments could change that.
