I think you can review the commits individually. Replace all relative refs to links.rst with absolute refs commit hits more than the installation guide, but the other commits are scoped to just migration and updating refs.

Navigability recommendation (can be a seperate commit or issue to be handled later) is to remove the release notes from the top level nav page for site Operators and reduce the number of levels that the user sees. I think a lowest level of "enable course pre-requisites", "Add the course talk widget", etc would be as deep as we'd go for the sake of readability/navigability
